His view from the office falls directly on the fire station: The expansion of the fire station is also on Innings Mayor Walter Bleimaier's list, but before construction can begin, the development plan must first be changed.

Maybe I can still be there at the opening.

Starting this year, construction will begin on Wasenfeld in the municipality of Inning.

Because of the growing tasks, Inning is also thinking about starting a municipal company.

Inning

– The million-dollar projects have been launched.

There will be a lot of construction in Inning this year.

As one of the few communities in the district, Inning can afford this.

It starts with the open all-day school (OGTS), and construction of the day care begins at the same time.

Other projects are still on hold.

Mayor Walter Bleimaier would like things to move forward more quickly.

OGTS/day care

“The goal is to start construction on both projects in the fall,” says Mayor Walter Bleimaier in an interview with Starnberger Merkur.

The day care will accommodate 15 people.

In addition, as reported, affordable living space is being built in the attic – three apartments.

Bleimaier expects construction time for both projects to take one and a half years.

Just in time for open all-day care (OGTS), because from August 1, 2026, a legal right to all-day care for children of primary school age will be gradually introduced nationwide.

The offer already ensures neighborhood help, but the conditions in the classrooms are anything but ideal.

Bleimaier (65), who no longer wants to run in the 2026 local elections, is enthusiastic about the plans for the school extension at Wasenfeld.

“Maybe I can still be there at the opening,” he jokes.

However, the school sports facility should be finished beforehand.

After much back and forth, the community managed to find a compromise with a property owner.

Insofar as she was able to secure 2000 square meters.

Not for sale, but for lease for 25 years.

“Now it’s a connected area,” says the mayor happily.

In a year, there could be an artificial turf field measuring 60 by 35 meters, with a running track, basketball and long jump facility.

“The sports club can of course use this.”

Sports field expansion

The alphabet will soon be exhausted.

The draft plan for the expansion of the Inningen sports grounds on Schornstrasse already had the letter P in October. But it wasn't P for full stop.

The land-use planning can be completed in January, but after that the necessary removal of a smaller area from the landscape protection area and the engineering planning follow.

“The tennis club can use the current location until October 1st.” Construction of the new courts and the southern of the two newly planned soccer fields is scheduled for this fall.

Local supplies

The new local supply center, for which the tennis players have to move, was only discussed again at the most recent local council meeting.

As reported, the planning scope will be larger because the investor was able to secure additional space for parking spaces.

Bleimaier doesn't yet know which company will win the contract for the modern supermarket.

“Probably Edeka or Rewe.”

Because the community wants a traffic island at the level of the bus stop on the state road because of the new local supply center, it is currently in negotiations with the state building authority.

Because the road layout would have to be changed – and quickly.

The Weilheim authorities are of course not happy about this because the through-town road needs to be renovated anyway.

However, she only wants to start with this measure after the through-road in Tutzing has been completed.

Only then does the inning come into play.

“Subject to financing.” This was recently emphasized to Bleimaier again.

He therefore does not expect road renovation to begin before 2026.

However, the people of Inning wanted to have the traffic island for the opening of the new local supply center.

And that can be expected sooner.

SB bank branch

Bleimaier has good news for savings bank customers.

As reported, the rental agreement at the current self-service branch location expires in February.

The municipality has now leased a section of the former Schoeren stationery to the savings bank.

“The self-service branch is closed,” says the mayor happily.

The property on the market square has been owned by the municipality since September.

The local council is therefore currently discussing how the remaining area should be used.

Fire department

The plans to expand the fire station on Pfarrgasse should actually already be finalized.

However, the expansion planning with the added training room does not correspond to the requirements of the current development plan.

The district office did not agree to the plans.

“A key feature of the development plan is that the roof profile must remain the same,” explains Bleimaier.

But that only works without a training room.

The firefighters don't want to do without that.

Therefore, a change in the development plan is now necessary.

“And that will probably last until the end of the year.”

Bacherner Weg

The Bacherner Weg will be completely expanded from spring onwards.

The early start of construction has just been approved.

The local road will be expanded to 750 meters.

Residents don’t have to worry about sharing the costs.

“It is a local connection road and also a supported measure,” says Bleimaier.

Municipal companies

The municipality of Inning is thinking about setting up a municipal company.

This is possible with the existing staff in the town hall, says Bleimaier.

“The managing director would come out of the house.” This is becoming increasingly necessary, among other things, because of the municipality's construction project on Griesstrasse.

As reported, a more pleasant plan with access from Carl-Benz-Straße is currently being discussed.

Bleimaier is currently still negotiating the necessary land exchange.

A municipal company could then also be responsible for a storage area that the municipality is planning on a property west of the motorway maintenance department between the B471 and Etterschlager Straße.

The 7,000 square meter area will be used as an interim storage facility for excavation.

The space is already needed now and will be essential as soon as the through-town thoroughfare is renovated.

The storage space should then continue to be used as such.

It would probably be too easy if there wasn't a catch with this area: it lies in the landscape protection area between the motorway and the federal highway.

“Again a long process,” Bleimaier speculates.
