On Monday 22 January at 10.30 am at the "Lea Padovani" Theater in Montalto di Castro, Don Luigi Ciotti, president of Libera, meets the representatives of the students of the Giovanni Falcone Schools Network.
Speakers will be Laura Piroli, director of the Cardarelli Institute of Tarquinia and Emanuela Socciarelli, mayor of Montalto di Castro.
The event is part of the "Day of Remembrance and Commitment in memory of the innocent victims of the mafia" promoted by Libera which will take place in Rome on 21 March.
In view of March 21st there are many initiatives to raise awareness, meet and discuss throughout the Lazio region.
Libera has chosen Rome as the main location of the XXIX Day of Remembrance and Commitment in Remembrance of the Victims of the Mafia which will take place on March 21st to be close to those - in Lazio, as in other regions - who are not resigned to mafia violence, corruption and abuses of power.
To enhance the work of many entities, secular and Catholic, institutional and associative, committed to the common good, for the dignity and freedom of people. The Day promoted by Libera, has been recognized by the State since 2017 and will see a large participation of young people, associations , groups, representatives of institutions, of the union, of the world of education, of culture, of sport.
A day of mobilization with moments of reading, reflections, meetings to remember the over 1000 names of the innocent victims of the mafia.
