The kiss at the proclamation between King Frederik and Queen Mary touched the heart.
But her daughter Princess Isabella's reaction was priceless.

The four children of the new royal couple were still standing in the room and getting ready to go out onto the balcony when their parents shared a kiss that moved many hearts.

Mary smiled and waved to the thousands upon thousands of people gathered in front of Christiansborg Palace, all of whom wanted to greet the new king.
An emotional Frederik leaned in to give his wife a kiss and a camera recorded the sweet moment of the royal couple's 16-year-old daughter, to the delight of fans.
While it is not known what the heir to the throne, Prince Christian (18), or his twin siblings Josephine and Vincent (both 13) did in that second, Isabella, who was also widely visible dressed in red, was standing directly at the window when all the cameras were on Balcony were directed.

A spokesman for the royal palace confirmed to the Danish newspaper Berlingske that the queen had only informed her two sons, Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim (54), three days before her public announcement.

The time before the coronation may have been a particularly stressful situation, especially for the children, when in December the rumor mill came up with an alleged affair by Frederik.
Followed by a period of maximum press attention because Grandma Queen Margrethe (83) turned things around and in her New Year's speech, after 52 years on the throne, she declared her abdication in favor of her eldest son Frederik.
On top of that, there was a huge coronation gift for Princess Isabella and her younger siblings.
