A resident of Ra'anana, 38 years old, arrived yesterday (Saturday) together with his wife, his two young daughters and other family members to spend time on the boardwalk at the Tel Aviv port.
During the recreation, the resident got into an argument with police officers who were in the area due to parking, and asked to arrest him for obstructing a police officer and disturbing public peace.

The detainee, without a criminal record, was taken to the North Tel Aviv police station and after being questioned was released to his home without restrictive conditions and with bruises on his body.
He now intends to file a complaint with the police investigation department.

During the conversation with Walla, the 38-year-old recalled the difficult sequence of events, and criticized the conduct of the police officers.
According to him, when he and his family returned from a restaurant where they ate, they returned to the vehicle that remained in the parking lot.
The policemen who were there at the time, yelled and ordered them to move their car, since the parking place is forbidden according to them.
"I told him that the parking attendant asked us to park here and I also asked why he was talking to us like that and shouting? I told him that I was also a police officer in the past for several years and that there is a way to contact a person and move the car," he said.
He continued to describe the conversation: "He asked me why I stopped being a police officer and I told him that I wanted to move forward in life - they only acted out of revenge for that statement."
Later, the detainee entered his car in order to move it to a nearby vacant parking lot, but several men in a black Mercedes car began to confront them, which was already the parking lot they occupied: "They threatened me and my father, who is 64 years old," he said.

The 38-year-old claimed that he did not find it appropriate to confront them and chose to continue on his way with the vehicle to find another parking lot.
But when he opened the door to get into his car, the police pulled him out and started beating him hard: "He pulled me out of the car without me even realizing what was happening," he said.

After his arrest, the officers took the suspect to a police point located in the Tel Aviv port.
And there, according to his version, when he was locked alone with them in a small room, they beat him brutally out of revenge: "They just beat me to pieces, but really completely. While I was handcuffed to the chair, one of them choked me and I was screaming and just asking them to stop. He further claimed that when another policeman came to escort him to the North Tel Aviv police station, he was amazed by the marks of sabotage left on his body and that later the friends of one of the policemen claimed that the policeman's violent attitude stemmed from "the fact that he is a hero and participated in the fighting in Otef on October 7, where an RPG exploded next to him ".
