Doubly annoying for the hotel: the carabinieri who were called in couldn't really do anything.
They couldn't arrest the drunkard because of fraud; he had written his real name on the fake business card.
And because there is no prison sentence for drunkenness, the police had no choice but to write a report and let the man go.
The whole thing happened in 2022, and the trial is now starting at the regional court.
