Five people suspected of attempted burglary at the home of journalist Anne-Sophie Lapix were arrested during the night from Saturday to Sunday in Paris,

learned from a police source.
The police were first alerted on Tuesday of a first attempted break-in into the presenter's private mansion, on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
A brigade then set up discreet and reinforced surveillance in its neighborhood to try to spot the criminals.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 3:15 a.m., five hooded people again tried to enter the private mansion of the France Télévisions journalist by scaling the entrance gate.
Anne-Sophie Lapix's son, present at the home and awakened by the noise, put the suspects to flight.
They were found a few streets further by the police and arrested in their vehicle in possession of a roll of tape.
The suspects were taken into custody.
An investigation into “
attempted theft by an organized gang with a weapon and criminal conspiracy
” was opened and entrusted to the banditry suppression brigade (BRB).
