Messenger, an integral part of the meta ecosystem, has introduced a new feature that allows users to see the number of reactions to messages in broadcast channels.
This development follows the launch of Telegram-like broadcast channels on Instagram and WhatsApp and is part of a larger update that Meta is rolling out across its various platforms.

New function in broadcast channels: Interaction count is now displayed in Messenger
Messenger, formerly known as Facebook Messenger, has integrated an innovative feature into its broadcast channels.
Users can now see how many reactions each message receives, providing deeper insight into viewer engagement, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Most recently, Facebook also discontinued Messenger Lite, as NEXTG.tv reports.
Broadcast channels are a public, one-way communication tool that allows Page administrators to communicate directly with their followers.
This feature supports text, images, polls and reactions.
While only the channel creator can send messages, viewers have the ability to respond to messages and participate in polls.
How do broadcast channels work?
If you manage a Page on Facebook, Instagram or even WhatsApp and are in a market where broadcast channels make sense, you can start a channel directly from your Page.
Once the channel is created and the first message is sent, followers will receive a one-time notification to join the channel.
They can then see the messages, respond to them and take part in surveys.
In addition to reaction counts, Meta is testing other features to encourage interactivity, such as poll prompts and a dedicated inbox tab to easily manage and leave joined channels.
These channels are public and subject to Meta community standards to ensure a safe environment.
