“In the forest above the mini golf course, a 12-year-old boy went off the track while tobogganing and got sideways into the undergrowth.
“He sustained a stake injury from a branch that was approximately 8 centimeters thick,” said the fire department in Velbert.

“The emergency services and fire brigade were alerted and provided the boy with medical care, padded the injury and secured the branch against further movement.” The boy was then transported with a sanding basket stretcher over a distance of 120 meters to an all-terrain equipment truck belonging to the Ratingen fire department rescue service .
