She consoles herself by looking around her at the several hundred people who came to demonstrate this Saturday, January 20, in the city in the northwest of Israel, against the military intervention in the Gaza Strip.

The latest attempts by organizers - including the pacifist movement Women Wage Peace, the Zochrot association and Yesh Gvul - have failed, with law enforcement saying they feared uncontrollable reactions from Israelis supporting the war.
The case was taken to court, finally validating the mobilization in Haifa, limited to 700 people, in the middle of Shabbat.
