Habach - The new shooting king was crowned at the traditional Habach shooting ball.

He performed the dance of honor with the Schützenliesl.

The Dürnhausen-Habach shooting club recently presented its new majesties at the traditional shooting ball in the Habach shooting house.

The new shooting king 2024 in the air rifle discipline is Stefan Leiß.

According to the club, he scored the best hit on the king's target with a 230-part score and was happy about the dance of honor with Schützenliesl Maria Promberger to the sounds of the Habach band.

Chairman Hanspeter Rötzer presented him with the historic rifle chain, on which every king since 1927 has been immortalized with a thaler, the club continued.

The two can now represent the club for one year.

Shooting on Epiphany

A week earlier on Epiphany, the best hits were determined in three rankings, as the club announced.

On the royal disc, second place went to Stefan Promberger (268 pieces) and third place went to Markus Radiske (311 pieces).

Andreas Hoiß won the royal disc and Julia Rötzer took the cash prize.

Despite lower participation than last year, the Royal Shooting and Schützenball were once again successful events this year.

“As a shooting club, we are very proud to be able to host these traditional events for our village at the beginning of the year,” said board member Rötzer on the evening of the ball.
