Three people died during the early hours of Sunday when a gathering of young people in a short-term rented home
became deadly near Houston, Texas.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said officers responded to an emergency call around 2:15 a.m. in the suburb of Katy, Texas, 30 miles (about 48 kilometers) west of Houston.
“There was a very hectic, very chaotic scene when the officer arrived,” Gonzalez said at a press conference on Sunday.
He estimated that there were between 20 and 30 young people gathered in the home before the shooting occurred.

When the first police officer arrived, two people had already died at the scene.
Another died later in the hospital.
All of the victims were

Police said they are still evaluating the information, and have asked the public for help in identifying possible people involved.
