There was an accident on the A9 between Eching and Garching Nord this morning.
A truck has lost its load.
It's building up massively.
Garching - This morning there was a serious tire blowout on the A9 in the direction of Munich.
A 46-year-old truck driver was traveling on the A9 around 5:30 a.m. when the left front tire of the trailer burst for unknown reasons.
The truck crashed into the central guardrail, the Freising traffic police station said.
During the collision, several tons of steel plates slipped from the loading area onto both lanes.
Several vehicles were unable to brake in time and collided with the load.
Both directions - Nuremberg and Munich - were only accessible in one lane for several hours.
The Garching and Freising fire departments secured the scene of the accident until 8 a.m.
The recovery of the tractor-trailer by the highway maintenance department will last until the early afternoon.
Significant traffic disruptions in the Garching area are to be expected.
The Freising traffic police currently estimate the material damage at 100,000 euros.
