The Wall Street Journal reported today (Monday) that Israel has rejected a plan for "the day after" in the Gaza Strip.
The plan, which was prepared by five Arab countries, serves as a guarantee for the normalization of Saudi Arabia with Israel.
The plan, according to the report, is supposed to create a path to a Palestinian state in exchange for Saudi recognition of Israel.

According to Saudi and Egyptian officials, the proposal is still in the final stages of formulation, but it has so far been rejected by the Israeli government, with the establishment of a Palestinian state being the main point of difficulty.
The "Wall Street Journal" added that the program was presented through the US.
It was also reported that according to Arab sources, the Arab countries offered to train the Palestinian security forces, to help revive and reform the Palestinian Authority, and ultimately to help organize elections, with the ultimate goal being the establishment of a state for the Palestinians.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted on his X account on Saturday: "I will not compromise on full security control over the territory west of Jordan."
