End of the Australian epic for Arthur Cazaux.
Two days after his exploit against world No.8 Holger Rune, the 21-year-old French player was eliminated this Monday in the round of 16 of the Australian Open against Polish Hubert Hurkacz, world No.9.
Before this 2024 edition of the Australian Open, Cazaux, recipient of an invitation, had never won a single Grand Slam match and had even only had one victory on the main circuit.
It went back more than two and a half years ago, in May 2021 in Geneva (against Adrian Mannarino).
