Because the Alliance Radentscheid believes that the expansion of cycle paths in Munich is not happening quickly enough, the initiators demonstrated in front of the town hall on Monday (January 22nd).
Munich - The Munich Radentscheid Alliance complains about the slow implementation of individual measures to improve cycling.
During a protest on Monday (January 22nd), the initiators reminded people of ten measures that had already been planned and for which there was still no decision.

The city council will meet on Wednesday (January 24th) to decide on reprioritizing the individual measures.
Radenscheid representatives expressly welcome this.
“There is now finally a concrete timetable for how to proceed this year,” says REM spokesman Andreas Schön.
“These are all important cycling connections with sometimes very high levels of cycling and accidents.
However, we very much regret that there is still no solution for Lindwurmstrasse.”
Green City Councilor Gudrun Lux: “We would have liked to implement Lindwurmstrasse with high priority, but we understand that there is still a need for advice.” In particular, both the mobility department and the city council would have further discussions with local businesses.
“It's about details, for example about deliveries.” But they can easily imagine an early marking of cycle paths in order to quickly ensure improvements.

SPD leader Anne Hübner: “I can understand the displeasure.
The implementation of the cycle paths takes too long.” After all, a planned cycle path is not yet a built one.
“That’s why there should be cost-effective and quick implementation.
But they also have to be well made in order to be accepted by all road users.”
