The Bear City can look forward to an increase of almost one million euros this year. The municipality of Markt Schwaben also has 600,000 euros more in its account. This year, the Ebersberg district will receive over 36 million euros in key allocations from the Free State of Bavaria.

But not every municipality receives a financial blessing.

District – Rising costs in many areas are also causing problems for the Ebersberg district and its municipalities.

Financial support is provided by the Free State of Bavaria in the form of key allocations.

Over 36 million euros will flow into Ebersberger Land this year, around a third of which (24 million) will go to the district and the rest to the municipalities.

While the district is receiving a little more money from the Free State this year, the cities and municipalities have to make do with over two million euros less.

They account for 11.65 million euros.

However, six district municipalities are left empty-handed due to their high tax capacity.

Announced the key assignments: Thomas Huber (CSU) and Doris Rauscher (SPD), members of the state parliament.

These include Anzing, Ebersberg, Forstinning, Hohenlinden, Oberpframmern and Poing.

Last year this included the municipality of Pliening, but this year it is being supported with almost 30,000 euros.

To do this, the people of Anzing will have to forego a financial injection from Freistatt in 2024.

For investments: State compensation payments are intended to support municipalities

For the remaining 15 municipalities, the pot has therefore become considerably larger.

As in 2023, Kirchseeon and Grafing are among the largest recipients this year.

The Bear City can look forward to an increase of almost one million euros.

The municipality of Markt Schwaben also has 600,000 euros more in its account.

Kirchseeon receives the highest key allocation in the district with 2.58 million.

Since the compensation payments are not subject to any conditions and can be used freely, they are an important source of income for many municipalities.

“In this way, we ensure that our municipalities can continue to fulfill their tasks and invest in the future,” emphasizes State Parliament member Thomas Huber (CSU).

Municipalities are also affected by cost explosions, which is why the Free State has increased the key allocations for 2024.

Massive price increases: SPD member of the state parliament demands higher key payments

Not enough, says Doris Rauscher.

In view of massive price increases, municipalities are more dependent than ever on higher allocations, according to the SPD member of the state parliament.

“The municipal share has remained unchanged since 2013.

There is a need for action,” she says.

There is a need for investment, especially in the social sector, such as schools, daycare centers and hospitals.

“This also applies to ongoing expenditure on local public transport,” she criticizes.
