After nearly three years of closure for extensive renovation work, this Mecca of live entertainment is reopening, with its focus on the port city and its population. It remains to find a new direction after the departure of Maïté Rivière.

The National Union of Artistic and Cultural Enterprises (Syndeac ) and the Association of National Stages (ASN) welcomed this renovation work in a press release.

“It is ultimately the affirmation of an ambition in the service of culture and the public that we can only welcome,”

they said, while demanding guarantees as to

“the independence of the future management”
