A Pink Night dedicated to dance, from folk rhythms to sports dance, from ballroom dancing to the world of clubs: with "Weekend dance" Romagna is transformed from 5 to 7 July into the largest open-air dance floor in Italy.
At the center is the great tradition of smooth music: 2024 will mark the 70th anniversary of the song 'Romagna Mia'.
The board of directors of the Visit Romagna tourist board has revealed the claim - created again this year by Claudio Cecchetto - and the themes of the next edition of the flagship event of the Romagna summer.
For the 19th edition of what is now the "Summer New Year", the common thread is the desire to move and feel good, with the ultimate aim of relaunching Romagna as a dance district.
"Dance is an element of relationship between people par excellence and is therefore a perfect and international symbol of our Romagna. The Pink Night wants to make its own this vocation to dance which has always been inherent in the DNA of the people of Romagna, placing it at the center of the next edition this theme, in a perfect balance between tradition and innovation", commented the president of Visit Romagna Jamil Sadegholvaad, mayor of Rimini.
"When I meet people the phrase they say to me most often is 'How much you made us dance!'
- said Cecchetto, ambassador of the organization for system events - This is where the idea for La Notte Rosa 2024 Weekend Dance came to me. Dance is an international language. It allows people of different languages to 'dialogue'. They dance and communicate having fun. Romagna, recognized as the 'Dance Valley' of Italy, can only be the best stage."
