Highlights: Storm Isha caused more than just a gale in the north of France during the night from Sunday to Monday. The storm threshold was reached inland with gusts over 90 km/h and well exceeded along the coasts. The Brittany, Normandy and Hauts-de-France regions were the most exposed to these strong, even very strong gusts. At the top of the Eiffel Tower, an isolated high point located at an altitude of more than 300 m, a gust of 123 km/ha occurred. Isha is now sweeping the coasts of the Netherlands and the northern half of Germany.

Inland, particularly in Île-de-France, gusts exceeded 90 km/h. Météo France maintained a vast northern part of the country

Storm Isha caused more than just a gale in the north of France during the night from Sunday to Monday.

The storm threshold was reached inland with gusts over 90 km/h and well exceeded along the coasts.

The Brittany, Normandy and Hauts-de-France regions were the most exposed to these strong, even very strong gusts.

In the Channel, at Barfleur, for example, 142 km/h was recorded.

Further north, in Boulogne-sur-Mer, in Pas-de-Calais, the wind blew at 128 km/h.

In Brittany, in Saint-Brieuc, 122 km/h was measured.

Inland, Île-de-France is one of the regions where the wind also blew stormily.

In inner Paris, the official Météo France station recorded a gust of 91 km/h, a little after midnight.

At the top of the Eiffel Tower, an isolated high point located at an altitude of more than 300 m, a gust of more than 123 km/ha occurred.

Between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., when the activity at the start of the week takes shape, the wind continued to regularly reach between 70 km/h and 80 km/h.

Such a level implies being careful due to falling branches or objects from balconies in a city and a region less organized in the face of the wind than Brittany, Normandy or Hauts-de-France.

This Monday morning, Météo France maintains a yellow vigilance (level 2 out of 4) due to the wind.

In addition to Haute-Corse, 41 departments are affected in the north of France.

The power reached during the night from Sunday to Monday could have caused the triggering of an orange vigilance (level 3 out of 4).

Storm Isha formed off the coast of North America.

It only took a little more than a day to cross the Atlantic Ocean, which testifies to the high speed of the winds circulating at altitude.

The United Kingdom and Ireland were the most exposed to the violence of this storm.

The wind gusted to more than 150 km/h, even more than 180 km/h in certain regions of Scotland, reports The Weather Channel.

Isha is now sweeping the coasts of the Netherlands and the northern half of Germany with orange vigilance, or even locally red, the highest level.

In Ireland, the Irish Times explains that 170,000 homes were deprived of power, more than 200,000 across the entire Emerald Isle including Northern Ireland.

Trees and branches make traffic difficult, particularly on the secondary network.

Dublin Airport, the capital, is operating normally although some occasional disruptions cannot be ruled out.

In the United Kingdom, some regions faced their most powerful gusts in several decades, according to the BBC.

Traffic is disrupted on the road and railway tracks.

Airplane traffic is also experiencing difficulties.

Power outages are occurring across the country.
