The Penzberg Adult Education Center is starting the new semester.

The printed program will be available from next Thursday, January 25th.

Online registrations are now possible.

The new semester begins on February 19th.

Penzberg – “Regional, diverse and close”: This is the motto of the new program for spring and summer at the Penzberg Adult Education Center (VHS).

As VHS director Katja Wipperman emphasizes, she and her two colleagues Kerstin Fischer and Heidrun Zölzer once again put a lot of passion into the planning.

In addition to the tried and tested offers, numerous new ones have been added.

With a total of 300 courses, seminars, guided tours and workshops, the offering is once again “extensive and varied”.

The largest specialist area remains “Health and Exercise”

The largest specialist area remains “health and exercise”.

There will be over 90 lectures and courses;

For example, an alkaline, intestinal or bone-healthy diet, Lu Jong, Qi Gong or Latin dance.

The yoga weekend in Bernried Monastery will also be offered again.

And after the great success of the cooking courses in the past semesters, there are also many offers from this area in the new program booklet.

“It’s important to be quick here.

Experience has shown that the cooking courses are quickly booked up,” advises employee Kerstin Fischer.

45 language courses on offer

In the area of languages, 45 courses will be offered in the new semester.

“Everyone will find the right course here – from beginners to language experts,” promises employee Heidrun Zölzer, who looks after the department.

She is also available to answer questions about course placement.

In intensive courses - for example in Italian or Croatian - those interested can prepare themselves for small talk and conversation on their next vacation.

According to Wippermann, the offerings around culture and travel are also diverse.

Already on Friday, February 9th, before the actual start of the semester, music enthusiasts will get their money's worth when author Stefan König presents his "Long-playing record poems, Volume 1" in the Bürgersaal in Iffeldorf from 7:30 p.m.: Memories of a youth with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton or Pink Floyd.

Adventure travel with author Thomas Bauer

If you're looking to travel further afield, Wippermann recommends the event on Thursday, March 14th: The nationally known travel book author Thomas Bauer will be presenting a "best of" from 25 years of adventure travel on this day from 7:30 p.m. at the Penzberger Bürgerbahnhof.

New in the hiking area are a marmot hike for families, a mindfulness hike at sunrise and a whole weekend in the Hohe Tauern including a glacier tour.

Participation in the climate spring

For the third time this year, the VHS is taking part in the Oberland Climate Spring with its own events.

According to Wippermann, a highlight of the series of events will take place on Saturday, April 27th: that evening, nature photographer Bernd Ritschel will speak in the town hall on the topic of “Alpine Glaciers”.
