An
Argentinian has been missing in Chile
since Sunday, when he decided to jump into the sea to rescue his cousin who had accidentally fallen into the water on the Marbella beach in Santo Domingo, in Valparaíso.
The missing man was identified as
David Soto Rosas, 30 years old,
and when he jumped into the water he was dragged by the current, which made it impossible for him to defend himself against the tide and he was no longer seen by family or rescuers.
The 18-year-old was rescued by firefighters and taken to an area hospital.
Meanwhile, the rescue protocol of the Chilean security forces was activated in the area to find Soto Rosas.
The deployment of a Navy helicopter and ground patrols was ordered to support the search, in addition to the mobilization of Firefighters, Police and municipal personnel.
The disappearance of this Argentinean occurs at the same time that a 25-year-old young man is searched in Claromecó, after rowing out to sea and not returning.
