Praised the togetherness that contributed to the success of the gala ball: Mayor Peter Köstler (l.) © Municipality of Gräfelfing

Lochham - Due to the renovation of the community center, the organizers of the gala ball had to be inventive and look for another event option.

They found what they were looking for in the multi-purpose hall next to the Kurt Huber High School - and they made a virtue out of necessity: colorful fabric panels made the gym ceiling disappear, atmospheric lighting, elegant table decorations and great catering transformed the rather sober multi-purpose hall into a glittering ballroom.

What meant a lot of extra work for the community center team, however, also had its good side: the larger dance floor was particularly well received by the dancers.

The show dance groups from the Würmesia carnival society, the Olching carnival guild and the Fun Unlimited dance group contributed to the exuberant atmosphere, presenting spectacular dance performances and always bringing additional zest to the evening.

In between, the guests themselves filled the dance floor and showed that such a dance event in a festive setting has a permanent place in Gräfelfingen's annual calendar.

Around 150 ball visitors enjoyed eating and drinking at fully occupied tables, met friends and acquaintances and enjoyed the professional show program.

The Volxxbeat Band provided the music.

And the “Kantine im Glück” (Langemann family) was responsible for the variety.

Atmosphere professionals and a good mood

The “atmosphere professionals” from the Würmesia carnival society came with their prince couple, Princess Daniela II and Prince Miro I, who welcomed the guests and, in addition to their show program under the motto “Winterwonderland”, also traditionally awarded medals to people from Gräfelfingen community life.

The medals were designed this year by the caricaturist and Munich tower writer Franz Eder.

A good-humored party applauded the professional dancing, followed by the Olching carnival guild and the Fun Unlimited dance group.

Mayor Peter Köstler and organizer Jan Konarski also welcomed the audience.

“It was once again a very special gala ball,” sums up organizer Jan Konarski.

“This year in a different location and of course very exciting for us.

It is always challenging to stage a room through decoration, light and acoustics in such a way that it can serve as a festive setting for such a high-quality dance event.

But thanks to really good teamwork, we were able to overcome it very well.”

“I received a lot of positive feedback during the evening and afterwards.

The people in our community appreciate that we make such offers to them.

“The Gala Ball also brings color into the winter month of January,” said Mayor Peter Köstler.

“The togetherness and imaginative contributions of the carnival guilds made the evening an all-round successful event.

My thanks especially go to the organizer Jan Konarski and his employee Richard Eder for the professional process.

It was just beautiful.”
