The cessation of activities due to the
general strike
called by the
General Confederation of Labor (CGT)
against the measures proposed in the Omnibus Law and the DNU of President
Javier Milei
will begin at noon.
However, the operation of transportation will have a special dynamic.
The strike, at the same time, includes a mobilization from the Azopardo headquarters at 800 to Congress, where the union demand will be concentrated with an event scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Regarding public passenger transportation, as arranged by the UTA bus drivers union and the four railway unions, to guarantee the transfer of protesters to Plaza Congreso,
the service will be provided until 7 p.m.
and will resume normally at starting at 0 on Thursday the 25th.
The same situation will occur on the
subway lines
(line D remains closed until March for works), which will not operate from 7 p.m. on Wednesday until the end of the day.
Regarding Aeroparque, taking into account the holiday flight season and assuming that a single joining union can complicate the entire operation, Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 told Clarín
that

The
unions of the aeronautical sector
have already announced that they will join the strike, an issue that will affect the operations of flights and airports nationwide.
Last week, for example, the Association of Aeronautical Technical Personnel (APTA) announced that “it will paralyze its tasks from 12 noon to midnight” and called on workers to mobilize.
For its part, the Aeronautical Personnel Association (APA) published on its networks: “APA calls for a strike on January 24 against DNU 70/23 and the Omnibus Law that threaten labor rights and privatization of our companies.”
From Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 they indicated that "the airports will be operational and working."
In general, airlines have started sending
notifications to their passengers.
Many of them are already rescheduling their flights and also offer different options, such as changes to fly another day (within a certain period) or refunds, at no cost.
The general recommendation is to contact the airline, if you have purchased directly, or the travel agency.
From Aerolíneas Argentinas, with domestic and international flights, they assure that "flights have been canceled since Friday (January 19) and others are being rescheduled outside of the strike schedule."
They also point out that passengers are receiving the notifications.
And that the changes that are managed to fly within the next 15 days are free of charge.

Other services
In Buenos Aires territory, as in the province of Buenos Aires,
banks will serve the public until 12 noon
.
This is because the Banking Association, the union that brings together these workers, expressed its support for the strike and urged its members to attend the protest in Congress.
Although Armando Cavalieri confirmed that the Federation of Commercial Employees, the union with the most members in Argentina, will join the strike, on Wednesday
all supermarkets would remain open.
From Coto they confirmed that all branches "will remain open and during normal hours."
It is confirmed that
waste collection will be a problem
: there will not be any from 12. From that time onwards, postal mail delivery by private companies will not continue either.
In Correo Argentino, dependent on the State, there will be partial tasks.
Regarding Buenos Aires medical care, the City Ministry of Health stated to

that since in principle the Association of Municipal Doctors folds, what they do (as an authority) "is guarantee the functioning of all the guards and all critical areas".
But, they clarified with concern, "outpatient clinics will not operate and
scheduled surgeries will be postponed
."
Municipal Doctors told this newspaper that the definition will only come this Tuesday: "There is a Central Council and they will resolve (what to do)."

The Government of the City of Buenos Aires also detailed that other services, such as metered parking, will operate normally.
As for taxis, they indicated that the service may be affected during the day on Wednesday the 24th. However, the EcoBici system will operate as usual.
Regarding tolls, they will operate normally.
They recalled that TelePASE is mandatory on all highways in the City.
