On Sunday, “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” was interrupted on television and moved to RTL+.
There was also an interruption in the jungle camp on Monday.
Murwillumbah – RTL can't please the viewers!
Jungle camp fever in Germany is huge - because fans have been able to watch the celebrities around the Australian campfire since January 19, 2024.
There hasn't been much trouble yet, but there has been the first voluntary exit.
There's also a problem: The TV audience wants more of "I'm a star - get me out of here!", but the Cologne private broadcaster keeps putting a stop to the whole thing.
After the NFL interruption: Jungle camp fans have to wait again because of “RTL Direkt”.
Everyone just wanted to know one thing on Monday evening: Why did Cora Schumacher (47) voluntarily move out of the jungle camp?
It was clear to many viewers for a long time that these scenes would probably only be shown towards the end of the show.
Nevertheless, an interruption was too much of a good thing.
After the jungle camp had to make way for the NFL on television the day before, things continued in a similar way on January 22nd.
At 10:15 p.m. on Monday, the jungle camp did not start in prime time for the first time, but was interrupted again a short time later.
The reason: a new edition of “RTL Direkt”.
Although Jan Hofer (73) only welcomed the TV audience for a short edition, the reports about the upcoming rail strike and other news of the day caused anger among the jungle fans.
“Yesterday NFL, today the DB strike is robbing me of my sacred jungle time,” complains a user on
X
(formerly Twitter).
Another agrees: “Ok, RTL, you have one damn job: to entertain us.
And you put 'RTL Direkt' in between?
Unbelievable." "You think that yesterday's shitstorm because of the shortened jungle camp (which then consisted of 50% advertising blocks) and the subsequent total failure of RTL+ would have brought about a catharsis in RTL?
RTL today: Hold my 'RTL Direkt!'” someone else jokes about it.

In fact, the plan was successful in attracting some viewers from normal TV to the streaming service RTL+ on Sunday evening.
There, fans were able to get a taste of the jungle air after the NFL break.
However, the rush was so great that RTL+ crashed for a long time.
RTL had already announced that the jungle camp episodes would be radically shortened.
