For two weeks now, youth brawls have been increasing in the town of Saint-Denis, which will tomorrow be one of the epicenters of the Olympic Games.

According to the latest figures provided by the Bobigny prosecutor, Éric Mathais, during these two weeks, “
the police forces and the judicial authority carried out around sixty police custody and 24 removals.
Again on Sunday, twelve minors were referred in order to avoid a new brawl
.”
Since January 16, four of the seven neighborhoods that make up Saint-Denis - Franc-Moisin, La Plaine, Pleyel and the city center - have been torn apart with violence which culminated in two fatal attacks last Wednesday, one in the metro and the other in front of a high school.
