After James Bond's Aston Martin and Starsky and Hutch's Ford Torino, will we soon see "Jul's Twingo"?
The car manufacturer Renault called on the rapper Jul sur
“A decade that you pay tribute to us Jul, in our turn.
100k RT and we make a Twingo together?
», proposed the diamond brand in a post accompanied by a photo showing the underbody of an automobile on which appears the name “Tingo” associated with the rapper's famous sign.

In 2021, the boss of the French manufacturer announced the “abandonment” of small entry-level thermal cars of which the icon of the 1990s is a part. But the Twingo is supposed to see the light of day again by 2026, in a 100% electric version and at a price of less than 20,000 euros.

They thought about going to see Jul in concert, but booked a Christmas show in Sweden
Although he now boasts of having “gone from the Twingo to the Merco with the paddles”, Jul has never hidden his love affair with the little city car.
“It’s Jul Gros, I was wandering around with five or six or seven in the Twingo,” he says for example in his song “#V2F”.
Already seen behind the wheel of a Twingo
In May 2019, on the occasion of the release of his album “Rien 100 Rien”, the native of the “Saint-Jean du Désert” district of the Marseille city, arrived at the Vélodrome stadium at the wheel of a Twingo bearing his image , recalls La Provence.

Not letting the opportunity to ride on the popularity of the artist slip away, the manufacturer responded a year later when Jul asked his fans to imagine the cover of his album “Loin du monde”.
Renault had designed a cover representing the rapper on the moon, with his back to the Earth, leaning against a white Twingo.
Far from the world perhaps, but never far from his Twingo.

The “J”, also a fan of large cars, has not yet reacted to Renault’s proposal.
If he takes up the challenge, the manufacturer's publication will still need to reach 100,000 “retweets” (shares) on the social network for the project to take off.
