A decree taken in a humorous tone, but to make a rant.
Bernard de Narda, the mayor of the commune of Raillencourt-Sainte-Olle (North), issued an unprecedented municipal decree on Tuesday January 23.
“Article 1: from this day, snow is prohibited from falling on the territory of Raillencourt-Sainte-Olle”, indicates the latter, which will be “displayed in the usual places and places”, in accordance with article 2 , specifies La Voix du Nord.

If this decree seems to attack the weather, it actually hides a completely different message.
In it, the councilor justifies his decision: “Given the remarks of the administrators believing that the municipal services have not properly accomplished their mission of clearing snow and salting all municipal roads.

It is therefore a response to the residents of the city who did not fail to relentlessly appeal to the City.
" For what ?
Four centimeters of snow,” he quips to the local media.
“Sixty years ago, there was otherwise snow and no snowplows… And people made arrangements to go to work.
We must learn to respect the seasons, not to live in immediacy,” he protests.

“Silencing intolerant people.

Through this decree, it does not fail to let residents know that it must face a “lack of material and human resources” and “that it is impossible for the municipality to invest in efficient snow removal equipment” .
“The mayor cannot be held responsible for everything,” defends Bernard de Narda.
Visibly upset during his interview with La Voix du Nord, he concluded with a smile, indicating that he was considering issuing a new decree to “ban rabbits, or hornets”…
