One more twist in the sprawling “
Delon affair
”.
The actor's lawyer, Me Christophe Ayela, announced in a press release sent to Le
Figaro
this Wednesday, January 24 that he “
was no longer able to carry out (his) mission of defending Mr. Alain Delon
”.
A few minutes earlier, our colleagues from Paris Match revealed that a letter dated January 21, signed by Alain Delon, thanked the lawyer, accusing him of having spoken too much in his name "
without informing him
".
In her press release, Me Ayela lists several reasons for her withdrawal.
“
For the first time in many years, I no longer have access to my client.
Today, his son
Alain Fabien
and the bodyguards hired by Anthony Delon forbade me from seeing Alain Delon while I was going to
Douchy
(where the actor's property is located) at his request
,” a- he first wrote.
He would also have discovered that “
this Sunday, lawyers made him sign, without my knowledge, a letter written by them putting an end to my mission, these same people who toured the sets to indicate that Mr. Alain Delon was “senile” or that he was “in no condition to sign anything”.
»
“Low level maneuvers”
Saying he was “
faced with such pressure, threats, accusations and insults, and low-level maneuvers, I see myself obliged, in compliance with my ethics, to put an end to my mission
”.
And to conclude: “
It is now up to the public prosecutor to do what needs to be done to protect Mr. Alain Delon and preserve his health.
»
Me Christophe Ayela, specialized in complex litigation and civil and criminal defense, filed the complaint of the three Delon children against Hiromi Rollin last summer.
Alain-Fabien, Anthony and Anouchka accused the “
lady-in-waiting
” of excessive weakness.
The complaint has since been dismissed.
He had increased his speeches in the media, explaining in particular on January 5 that Alain Delon had been "
deeply shocked
" by
the "display
" of his client's private life, after the publication of an interview with Anthony Delon in Paris Match.
Me Christophe Ayela had also denounced the doctor appointed by the Montargis prosecutor, after the Delon children's complaint against Hiromi Rollin.
The practitioner concluded that the discernment of the legend of French cinema was “
totally abolished
”, which led the prosecutor to consider placing him under judicial protection.
“
This doctor is not an expert.
He must have come across a day when (Alain Delon) was not in good shape and he probably turned him away
,” the lawyer scathed.
Me Christophe Ayela had called
for new medical expertise from Le
Figaro .
In a “
concern for appeasement
”, the lawyer also announced in our columns that he no longer represented Anouchka on January 11.
