when she saw the individual, which pushed her to flee, explains Nicolas Heitz

public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc.
The individual was taken into custody the same evening and immediately admitted the facts.
“At the end of this measure, he was referred to the Saint-Brieuc public prosecutor’s office
,” the prosecutor further specifies.
Hood and kitchen knife
On the evening of Wednesday January 17, the man tried to break into the home of a woman living with her two children aged 7 and 11, in Plémy.
However, he didn't expect to hear a shrill cry from the 11-year-old girl.
The howl surprised the attacker who quickly fled.
The man, dressed in black and wearing a hood, also had a kitchen knife in his hand.
The defendant had
“only a criminal record regarding an alternative measure of penal composition pronounced in 2021 by the children's judge”
, says Nicolas Heitz, specifying that the criminal was convicted in the context of an appearance on
“prior recognition of guilt for violence”
resulting in Total Incapacity for Work (ITT) not exceeding eight days.
In addition, the young man was also convicted of violence without ITT with the use or threat of a weapon on the two children, and convicted of carrying a category D weapon.
In addition to these convictions, the individual will be required to work and receive treatment.
He is prohibited from making contact with the victims and from going to the municipalities of Plémy and Moncontour, the prosecution further details, adding that he cannot hold or carry a weapon subject to authorization.
