Compared to the corresponding week in 2023 (January 15 to 21) in which the scope of expenses was NIS 9.343 billion, this is an increase of 2.1%.
A recovery trend is particularly noticeable in certain industries, when last week the recovery trend continued in the tourism industries, and the increases in spending continued in the pharmaceutical, electrical and electronics, and food industries.
The gradual recovery comes after the first week of the war saw a cut in the scope of the Israelis' expenses.

Tali Hollenberg, vice president of marketing, business development and sales of Sheba, says that "this is only the second time since the beginning of the war that the amount of weekly spending on credit cards is higher than the weekly average that was before the war.
We attribute the increase in spending, which is reflected in most of the main consumption branches of the economy, to the fact that the intensity of the war has decreased and that reserve forces were released during the past week.
