The Bayrischzell Village and Light Festival requires a lot of electricity every year.
The local council has now decided to purchase its own distributor.
But it's not cheap.
Bayrischzell
– The Bayrischzell Village and Light Festival on the town hall square and in the adjacent spa gardens attracts many visitors every summer.
In order to supply them with food and drinks, they also need a lot of electricity, and until now it was difficult to obtain and not cheap either.
As Mayor Georg Kittenrainer (CSU) and the new treasurer Sandra Sieber now reported to the local council, an external construction power distributor was previously required for the two major events.
For four years, however, there has been talk of building our own power distributor to supply the club's festivals.
According to Sieber, the distributor should be installed in the transformer cabinet near the cemetery.
Cost: 13,765 euros.
“Then the issue would be off the table once and for all,” she said.
Local councilors see quick payback
According to Lukas Bucher (FWG), the advantages are: “We save ourselves having to apply for construction electricity for every festival.” This alone would now be in the range of around 1200 euros.
“After a few years, the whole thing paid for itself.” For Kittenrainer, the investment in his own power distributor is “long overdue,” even if it is a lot of money.
He therefore suggested that the community and local associations each split the sum equally.
Specifically, the latter could use the proceeds of their festivals.
“The local associations have been thinking about this for a long time, so I would commission the construction of the electricity distributor,” recommended the town hall boss.
The local council unanimously followed the proposed resolution.
