Hotel, daycare center, medical center, local heating network: Heilbrunn's mayor Thomas Gründl is looking forward to an eventful year.
Bad Heilbrunn – “An exciting year with many big projects is coming up in Bad Heilbrunn.” Mayor Thomas Gründl announced this in a New Year’s interview with the local newspaper.
In 2024, many projects will be tackled that have been developed, discussed and decided on in the local council for years.
As part of the redevelopment, this includes, for example, the construction of a medical center opposite the St. Kilian Church on the former Hoefter property.
The memorial to the fallen must be moved as part of the new building.
The local council still has to decide where it should be in the future.
“It will have an honorable place,” emphasizes Gründl.
Tenders for the medical center are scheduled to begin in the spring
The new medical center will accommodate a pharmacy, two general practitioners and a dental practice.
There was also talk of another specialist practice.
The mayor says: “Maybe one or two things will come along.” A planner is currently working on the design of the building.
“A lot is being coordinated with the doctors and the needs.” The town hall boss would like to go out to tender for the construction project in the spring.
“We are in the starting blocks.” It is not yet possible to say for sure whether construction will begin this year.
“I wish so,” said Gründl.
New daycare center for 90 children
A daycare center is being built near the medical center as part of the village renewal.
This is also being built on the former Hoefter property near the Protestant church.
Gründl: “Everything has been agreed on in the local council.
It will be a five-group daycare center with three regular groups and two crèche groups.” There will be a place for around 90 children.
The planning for this has already been completed.
“We are still working on detailed planners right now.
It's about topics like statics or fire protection." The mayor would also like to put this major project out for tender in the spring.
“It would be good if the medical center and the daycare center were built together.” Gründl expects both buildings to be in place by 2026 or 2027.
Construction on the new sports hotel should start in 2024 if possible
Another major project is the possible construction of a hotel.
As reported, Bad Heilbrunn is to get a large four-star plus sports hotel on the former Post/Strauss property in the town center.
A declaration of intent between the municipality and “Ambience Fitness” – a company that operates sports studios in Munich and Starnberg – has already been signed.
It also states that the purchase of the municipal property is tied to the implementation of a hotel operation.
“Now it’s about further coordination with investors,” says Gründl about the current status.

He also hopes that construction on this project will begin in 2024. To do this, the daycare containers that are currently on the property would have to be moved towards Lindenhügel.
However, nothing is set in stone regarding the hotel project yet.
“It looks good,” reveals the mayor.
A decision must be made by summer.
Because: “We are planning a local heating network for the town center.
And we have to know by summer whether there will be cooperation between the community and the hotel.”

Local heating network and the construction of the fire station
The medical center, the daycare center, the town hall, the park villa and possibly the hotel are to be connected to this local heating network.
“In addition, residents in this area also have the opportunity to join.” Gründl hopes that “as many as possible” will take part.
“A certain degree of self-sufficiency is the future.”
Another big project is coming up in Mürnsee.
This is about building a new fire station.
“We already have plans that are being discussed in the working group with the local council and the fire departments.” A completely new equipment shed with three entrance gates for the vehicles is planned.
“We have already received a grant of 390,000 euros from the government of Upper Bavaria.” Bad Heilbrunn will have to fork out an additional 1.7 million euros for the new building.
Here too, Gründl's schedule is: “Tenders will be announced in the spring and construction will definitely begin this year.”
Nine properties for Heilbrunner families
When it comes to housing, something will also change in the Loisachtal community in 2024: “The community will sell nine residential units and one commercial unit for Bad Heilbrunn families in the residential area on Angerlstrasse,” announces the town hall boss.
However, this is not a local model.
Who can purchase a property is decided by an internal point plan, which the municipality does not want to publish.
According to the mayor, single-family homes and semi-detached houses may be built on the properties.
