After the police operation during a forced eviction in the southern Black Forest, the public prosecutor's office initiated an investigation against a 62-year-old.
The ex-soldier had holed up in Unterkirnach (Schwarzwald-Baar district) for hours and threatened to set his house on fire.
As the Konstanz public prosecutor's office announced on Wednesday upon request, the man is accused of threatening, resisting law enforcement officers in a particularly serious case and disturbing the public peace by threatening to commit crimes.
Konstanz/Unterkirnach - The 62-year-old gave up on Tuesday evening and allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.
According to a police spokesman, he is under medical care.
As the public prosecutor's office also announced, a certain amount of explosives was found in the man's house.
Details about this initially remained open.
According to previous police findings, the man had several long guns and handguns registered to him, and he also had an explosives permit and was a member of a shooting club.
