Burglaries are raging at the moment in the capital.
Criminals struck again during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, around 1 a.m., and it was a young woman of 22 who paid the price.
According to a source close to the case, the victim, of Italian origin, was staying in an Airbnb located in the 17th arrondissement, in the Batignolles district.
A few minutes before the incident, she opened the door to her apartment located on the 7th floor to three individuals.
The latter appeared in front of the accommodation claiming to be neighbors of the building who simply wanted to speak with the owner of the property.
Still according to this same source, it was at this precise moment that things took a completely different turn.
The three attackers allegedly forced their way into the Airbnb, threatening the young woman with a handgun and a knife.
Two rings worth more than 50,000 euros
The individuals involved then allegedly searched the premises, stealing cash, electronics as well as numerous clothes, bags and other jewelry.
Among the loot, the criminals notably managed to steal two luxury rings worth more than 50,000 euros.
In total, the moral damage would amount to more than 110,000 euros.
When leaving the premises, the three individuals left with the keys and then locked the victim in the apartment, according to our information.
It would then be neighbors who, alerted by the cries of the young woman, contacted the police to bring help.
The latter managed to force the door of the accommodation.
The victim was thus able to be freed and then examined by the firefighters who came to the scene.
According to a source, the young woman had light traces of scratches on her body.
The regional judicial police directorate has been seized of the case.
