Will they have midnight permission this summer?
Parisian bar and restaurant owners are still waiting for the green light from the City of Paris.
Since the 2020 deconfinement, the town hall has authorized, under certain conditions, the installation of summer terraces on parking spaces or on parts of the sidewalk.
Between April 1 and October 31, establishments that request it can open these outdoor spaces until 10 p.m.

A rule set from 2021 by the City to guarantee local residents a minimum of tranquility.
But next July and August, some would like to play overtime until midnight.
“We cannot consider closing our terrace extensions at 10 p.m. when the whole city will be outside,” warns Pascal Mousset, president of the Île-de-France Hotel and Restaurant Group (GHR), in a letter open address addressed to the government, the Paris town hall, the Île-de-France region and the police headquarters.
