Carlos Pedrini
(48) left a note at the entrance to his apartment:
“I'm dead in the bathtub.
Before entering he takes out all the money and then calls the police.
Sorry for what you have to do with this.
I love you and thank you for everything
. ”
The director of the
City Housing Institute (IVC)
was found dead in the bathroom of his house on Tuesday afternoon.
The one who called the police to report it was his driver.
In addition to the note and how Pedrini was found, the preview of the autopsy report that investigators received showed that
he died by hanging
.
Everything indicates that the official committed suicide although the case investigating his death has just begun.
In the last hours the case added another important ingredient: the existence of
two complaints of abuse against Pedrini
.
The victims are
her niece and a friend of hers
, ages 19 and 18.
Separately, the two young women recounted the same episode that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to the niece, Pedrini – divorced and a father – invited them to a bowling alley in San Telmo, located on México Street.
During the night he gave them glasses of
whiskey with energizer to which he added pills
.
The young women believed they were ecstatic.
"He encouraged them to consume all the time," a source in the case
told
Clarín .
And he added that the man prepared their drinks at the bar and they watched as he "put things on them."
The niece said that, inside the bowling alley, Pedrini
pulled down her dress and groped her.
Around 5 o'clock, the official took the two young women to his house, located in Parque Chacabuco.
There, taking advantage of the fact that the two girls were under the influence of drinks, he continued putting pills in their mouths, according to what they reported.
Pedrini proposed a truth-consequence type game in which all the questions were of a sexual nature.
"Come with me", "hug me", "come on, don't be a cunt",
were the things that the two young women began to hear, who felt very uncomfortable with the situation.
There was also touching and even kissing by the official, always according to the victims' stories.
Things got heavier until at one point Pedrini unzipped his pants and exposed his member.
The two young women managed to get out of the house and left.
On Monday, the niece went to a City Police station and filed the first complaint.
On Tuesday, her friend did the same in a prosecutor's office.
That same day, Pedrini received a notification
restricting her approach to her niece
from the court that intervened at first.
Then, the case was referred to the Sectional Criminal and Correctional Court No. 3 in charge of substitute judge Gabriel Omar Ghirlanda and to the prosecutor's office No. 32 in charge of Leonel Gómez Barbella.
The case for Pedrini's death, which became known on Tuesday, is being processed there.
The one who found him dead was his driver.
He had
a rope tied around his neck
, which coincides with the cause of death reported by experts.
It is believed that the note was addressed to him.
However, he would not have followed the instructions of the message about "get the money out," since the Police seized 30 thousand dollars and 68 thousand pesos from the house.
In the last few hours it was also learned that Pedrini had cancer and it emerged that on Tuesday he had received bad news about his health.
Now Justice will analyze some elements such as, for example, the
communications that Pedrini maintained in recent days
.
From there something more could emerge about the episode reported by the young women and what led him to make the decision to take his life, if that hypothesis is confirmed.
With the fatal outcome for the official, now the complaints of abuse come to nothing, since with the death of the accused the criminal action is extinguished.
