“The president of the police court considered that the fact, for a police officer, of telling a sexually assaulted woman “
fat whore
” was not a sexist insult.
» Leaving the Paris police court this Thursday morning, Me Arié Alimi is disappointed.
“The judicial institution continues to protect the police,” continues the council.
Arié Alimi's client in this case is a woman whom a police officer had insulted as a "whore" in February 2022, in a voice message that he had left her by mistake, after the latter had come to file a complaint for sexual assault.
The police officer was released this Thursday by the Paris police court.

This case, which had given rise to numerous criticisms of the treatment by the police of victims of sexual violence, dates back to February 2022. The complainant had made a statement in a Paris police station for "sexual assault in state". of drunkenness.”
The judicial police officer then left her a message on her answering machine so that she could complete her complaint.
Thinking he had hung up, he complained about this file before adding, after a few seconds of silence: “She's really a whore.
(…) Damn, she refuses to
confront
the whore.
As if by chance.
Actually it was just to break his balls, I'm sure.
(…) Fuck, you big whore,” before hanging up the receiver correctly.
“Totally crushed”
During the hearing at the beginning of December, the prosecution invited the court to ask whether the insults had been uttered to his colleagues or to the police officer himself.
In the first case, concerning a “non-public insult based on sex”, he suggested that the police officer should be convicted but exempted from punishment because of his exemplary career.
In the second case, preferred this Thursday by the court, he had to be released.
The victim, very disappointed with the prosecutor's requisitions, then declared feeling “totally crushed”.
Suspended for more than four months, the police officer who denied being “sexist or misogynist” and said he was “really sorry that the victim heard these unfortunate comments” was finally sanctioned with a professional transfer.
Then, in June 2023, a ban on contact with the victims and those involved.
This matter should not stop there.
“My client wishes to appeal to change judicial customs,” added Me Arié Alimi this Thursday.
