"The violence against public transportation workers does not stop, drivers and inspectors," said Itay Cohen, head of the transportation branch of the organization Kauch Le Oved.

"Instead of strengthening public transportation workers, the Ministry of Transportation chooses to abandon them. Public transportation workers were among the first to show up to serve the public on October 7, and continued to do so under rocket fire and threats. Since then, instead of receiving recognition, the violence against public transportation workers has only increased. It's time to recognize public transportation workers as public workers - as they really are."
