The family of late three-time ex-premier and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi, who died aged 86 on June 12, intends to continue supporting his centre-rightpolitical party Forza Italia (FI), sources close to the familytold ANSA Thursday in relation to rumors about financial credits due to the party.
The same sources clarified "that the credit towards FI has never been in question.
"On the contrary, the family intends to continue supporting the party, also by virtue of its affection for the political creature to which Silvio Berlusconi dedicated the last 30 years of his life".
Speaking on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the video addressin which the then 57-year-old magnate announced he was "taking the field" in politics to ward off a post-Communist election win and possible repercussions on his TV empire, the sources specified that " This support, of course, must go hand in hand with Forza Italia's commitment to continue along the path, which has already begun, of strengthening its financial endowment."
