The Italian digital market is growing faster than GDP and will accelerate in the coming years.

Estimates for 2023 indicate a closing value of 79,209 million euros, with growth of +2.8%.

The 'Digital in Italy' report by Anitec and Assinform Confindustria shows in particular an expansion for ICT services of 9%, for content and digital advertising of 5.9% and for software and ICT solutions of 5.8%.

And a more sustained increase is expected for the next few years: +3.8% in 2024, +4.8% in 2025 and +5% in 2026, with a market that could exceed 90 billion euros in 2026.

In the period 2024-2026 all sectors are expected to grow.

Technologies such as artificial intelligence, "in addition to big data, cloud and quantum computing, will transform our habits and the various production sectors of our country: from Made in Italy, to healthcare, to public administration. They will grow not only the sectors, but the supply chains, leading companies to increase scale, size and international positioning", declared the president of Anitec-Assinform, Marco Gay.
