This is a case of alleged kidnapping which could have ended very badly.
During the night from Monday to Tuesday, the police were called to the home of a young man who was shocked and suffering from slight injuries to his body.
Aged around twenty years, the latter claims to have been taken by force to a warehouse of the Lime company located on avenue Emmanuel Allard, in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille.
According to a police source, the events occurred during the day on Monday.
This employee of Lime, specializing in self-service scooter rental, was responsible for removing the electric devices in order to recharge them.
The young man parked his service truck for a few minutes, before realizing that it had been taken away by the pound.
Tied up, beaten and stripped
According to the young man, who “worked undeclared” on behalf of the company, his boss then came to pick him up in the company of
“his cousin”
in order to take him to the company's warehouse.
There, he was allegedly tied up, beaten and threatened by his superior and several individuals in retaliation for the kidnapping of the truck.

also allegedly extracted several hundred euros from him in compensation before freeing him from his ordeal.
Taken care of by the firefighters and suffering from
“very slight injuries”
, the young man was transported to hospital and asked to file a complaint with the northern division of Marseille.
Still according to a police source, an investigation was opened for
“meeting violence”
and
“extortion”
.

Lime indicated that it had opened an internal investigation and was cooperating with the police
