(see related) Premier Giorgia Meloni on Thursday hailed the news of the advance payment made to Italy by the European Commission of just over 551 million euro for the REPowerEU chapter of its national recovery and resilience plan (NRRP).
"Another piece of good news on the NRRP front with today's disbursement by the European Commission of the advance payment of around 551 million euro of the non-repayable grant linked to the new REPowerEU chapter, which was included in the revised plan," Meloni said in a statement.
The payment is "another important step forward in the implementation of the NRRP, which the government is pursuing with strength and determination," she added.
