The community of Pullach is faced with a mountain of projects, not all of which can be implemented.

Some of which have been working on setting the course for years.

Pullach

– Mayor Susanna Thousandfreund (Greens) hopes to make a little progress this year: “I am confident that we will achieve a lot of what we have set out to do.” Otherwise, there are also happy events in the calendar, such as 60th anniversary of the partnership with the French Pauillac.

Groundbreaking ceremony for retirement home extension

The Pullach local council is known for often taking one step forward and two steps back - and not really moving from the spot.

In 2023, the rough planning for the new youth center was happily approved in the fall; in 2025, the building, which gives the young people a lot of space, could actually be started.

“When it comes to public buildings,” says Thousandfreund, explaining the long lead time, “implementation is simply tough.”

After all, a groundbreaking ceremony will take place this year: for the extension to the “Am Wiesenweg” retirement home, which provides 17 places in day care, as well as 13 apartments of various sizes, all of which are publicly funded.

The building will remain the property of the municipality and will be operated by the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband.

School campus

Otherwise, the local council expects the result of the feasibility study for the school campus that Pullach wants to create for a high school and middle school in February.

A new high school is to be built on the current sports field of the high school, the current high school is to be converted for the middle school, and shared sports fields are to be built on the Kuhwiese.

After long discussions in the local council, all of this is a consensus; both feasibility studies take these parameters as a basis.

The committee is presented with two possible implementations; ideally, it will decide on one and then continue to work on it.

A volume of the series of publications is published about the Holy Spirit Church, the community's landmark.

New swimming pool construction

A new swimming pool is also in the works, at least on paper, and is to be built at the old location. According to Apotheker, it would be possible to build the new pool together with the neighboring new high school.

The existing leisure pool has just been renovated and has been given a new ventilation system and a new cash register system, both of which can be used in the new swimming pool, Thousandfriend: “This frees us up a bit.

If everything goes well, we can start building in three years." What set the community back in time for the swimming pool was the fact that the local council separated from the planners - precisely because the planners had made it clear to the committee that the construction will take longer than those involved would like.

When the high school and middle school are built, the elementary school can also move to the area of the middle school - it will also be upgraded in the meantime and will be increased by the summer or the end of 2025.

Energy and culture

There is good news from the IEP, which has two more wells in the pipeline, one in Forstenrieder Park and the other near Baierbrunn.

The one in Forstenrieder Park should now be brought forward, “so we can secure full expansion including industry”.

There is also a lot going on culturally, two volumes of the “Pullacher Literature Series” will probably be published, one about the forced laborers who were employed here during the Nazi era, one about the Holy Spirit Church.
