The Government again raised this Thursday the possibility of repealing the law on
voluntary interruption of pregnancy
that was approved in 2020, warning that "it is an issue that will be debated at some point."
It was presidential spokesperson
Manuel Adorni
who in his usual press conference from the Casa Rosada said that Javier Milei could seek to put it on the agenda, although he insisted that currently "he is focused on the most urgent."
"Today it is not on the agenda. With that definition that the President gave we can suspect that it
is indeed an issue that will be debated at some point
, but I am only taking a guess from what you just told me in relation to that fragment of the Davos speech "said Adorni.
The president's words to which the spokesperson referred are those that Milei spoke at the World Economic Forum, when he made reference to "the bloody agenda of abortion."
The Government declared days ago and through a decree 2024 as the "Year of the Defense of Life, Liberty and Property" and established that all official documentation must bear that phrase.
