Utilitalia met today, together with some associated companies, with representatives of the World Water Council, to present and support the Italian candidacy to host the XI edition of the World Water Forum in 2027.
This was announced by the federation that brings together companies operating in public water, environmental, electricity and gas services, explaining that it is "one of the most important global events linked to water which takes place every three years: Utilitalia is part of the promoting Committee together with the representatives of 5 ministries, the Lazio Region, Rome Capital, Anbi and Ewa.
"Italy's candidacy for the organization of this event - explains the president of Utilitalia, Filippo Brandolini - represents a great opportunity for our country.
Water service companies are facing a phase characterized by great challenges and at the same time great opportunities.
Within the promoting committee, Utilitalia is providing an important contribution, based on in-depth knowledge of the sector and on the valorisation of the best practices implemented by associated companies.
Being able to host the World Water Forum would be an important recognition of the work carried out in recent years by the companies in the sector, as well as of the synergistic action that has involved the Federation and some of the most important entities in the water service in supporting the Italian candidacy".
