The corridors of the existing north wing at the Isen elementary and middle school are prepared for interior plastering work.
However, the responsible company from Hamburg was terminated by the market following legal advice.

Things are running again on the construction site at the Isen elementary and middle school – “significantly better than in the first construction phase,” said Udo Rieger at the meeting of the Isen market town council.
There the architect from Rieger Lohmann Architects in Isen presented the current status.
But he also reported that the market terminated a company following legal advice.
Isen – In the interior of the north wing everything is prepared for interior plastering.
However, there was a problem with the company from Hamburg to which this work was awarded: “They were determined not to start the work,” reported Rieger.
“They immediately came with outrageous demands.”
Nevertheless, the architect remains confident: “No harm without benefit.” A new company is currently being sought.
Rieger assumes that it is someone from the region.
The advantage of the second tender: “We now know exactly how much plaster we have to replace.” Because we managed to obtain more existing plaster than expected.
“We therefore assume that we will award significantly cheaper prices than the first time.”
A small disadvantage, however, is that the screed work will begin there in just 14 days.
In order for the screed to finish cleanly, the edge strips in some rooms must be pre-cleaned.
“But since a large part of the screed could be preserved, it’s not a big deal,” says the architect.
The outer facade on the south side of the north wing was almost finished last year, Rieger reported.
“The only thing missing is the top plaster because the onset of winter came.” This will be done as soon as the weather permits.
“Everything went according to plan with the roof renovation, the carpenters and roofers were serious and reliable.” The company from Lower Bavaria also works very precisely with the drying work: “The drywalls will be completed this week or next.” The rough installation of the technical systems is ready advanced that the ceilings in the classrooms can be closed in 14 days.
“We are on schedule and on schedule,” summarized Rieger.
“Things are going much better with these companies than in the first construction phase.”
There are still difficulties with a company from Baden-Württemberg from the first construction phase.
As is well known, the new north wing building from the first section is already in operation.
The architect reported that ventilation devices from TIB Technik Imbau GmbH are still missing.
There are also no delivery commitments for the second construction phase.
“But there is still enough time,” he assured.
The installation of the ventilation units is planned for the summer holidays.
The new wing will then also be connected to the existing north wing.
Rieger was not able to identify any major cost increases as things currently stand.
In the cost calculation it is around 2.5 million euros, around 682,000 euros have currently been paid, around 28 percent.
“However, construction progress is significantly higher because many companies do not issue an invoice every month.”
The architect was also able to say something about the next and third construction phase: “This is open heart surgery.” The entire access zone with stairwells and elevator was completely redesigned.
This would also involve massive demolition work.
“We are in close coordination with the Haushofer engineering firm from Markt Schwaben, especially about the process and safety,” explained Rieger.
The first major Europe-wide tenders are scheduled to take place in March and the award in May.
“If things go optimally, we could start after the Whitsun holidays.” Because the difficult work should be brought forward in order to gain time that was lost in the first year of construction.

Market councilor Martin Jell (Mittbach list) wanted to know whether this “open heart surgery” would disrupt school operations after Pentecost.
“It’s all outside,” Rieger explained.
“Drilling also has to be done, but we're making sure we do the noise-intensive work during the Whitsun holidays.” That's just the optimal schedule anyway.
The next presentation of the current status is planned for May, and another site inspection is scheduled for September.
