The late Silvio Berlusconi continues to inspire the conservative path in Italy, Premier and right wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) leader Giorgia Meloni said on the 30th anniversary of the media mogul's 'taking the field' at the head of his new soccer anthem named political creature Forza Italia (FI ) on January 26, 1994 to fill a void left by the Bribesville demolition of the conservative establishment and ward off what had appeared an inevitable post-Communist election win, in the first of three government terms as Italy's longest serving postwar prime minister.
Writing on , now serving mafia time: "Italy is the country Ilove".
"With these words," Meloni said, "Silvio Berlusconi announced his taking the field, giving life to Forza Italia.
"Since then, 30 years have passed and many have been the battles faced together, some of them won, some lost but always with this tenacity and the same passion.
"On the occasion of this anniversary I want to send my best wishes to all the friends in Forza Italia.
"And a thought to Silvio, whose commitment and memory continue to inspire our path".
