The container settlement is occupied.

The costs for the general renovation of the Olching high school are increasing immensely.
While it was originally assumed that it would be around 40 million euros, it is now estimated at 84 million euros.
Olching – One of the reasons: Instead of 40 classrooms, 45 rooms are needed.
To achieve this, the statics must be strengthened.
The increase in risk reserves (general increase in construction prices) and a longer operating time of the container settlement, in which the students are taught during construction, also contribute to the increase in costs.
This news was unanimously accepted in the district council - the district councilors didn't have many other options.
Because the renovation has begun and is considered urgently necessary.
“We will have to agree in the hope that it stays that way,” said district councilor Martin Runge (Greens).
District finances: More debt
The district council has approved the budget for 2024.
38 district councilors voted in favor, twelve against.
The district levy was set at 50.61 points.
In concrete terms, this means that the district will receive 167 million euros from the cities and municipalities to fulfill its tasks this year.
This is slightly less than feared because the Free State transfers a relatively high key allocation to the district office.
In the long term, it is expected that the district's debt will rise sharply.
The main expenditure items are and remain the district levy, personnel costs (which have already been cut) and the constant repairs at the district's 18 schools.
A savings commission had canceled or postponed some costs.
Olching's mayor and SPD district councilor Andreas Magg asked whether it wouldn't have been better to opt for a new building instead of a general renovation.
One argument for the renovation was the preservation of gray energy.
But now it turns out that more than one scaffolding of the old building will not remain standing.
It was also clear beforehand that 40 rooms would not be enough.
New construction costs even higher
District Administrator Thomas Karmasin countered that the new building costs had also been recalculated.
These are now around 120 million euros - still significantly higher than the renovation.
The government of Upper Bavaria had requested the increase in classrooms.
The container
Another topic: the rental period for the containers.
These have been there since the summer and initially could not be used because the structural engineer refused to accept them.
The problem has now been solved and lessons take place in the containers.
However, it has now become clear that they will be needed longer than initially thought.
They are now assuming 35 months, although this is only a forecast.
The company will probably have to bear part of the additional costs because of the static problems, but the district will have to pay part, said a spokeswoman for the building administration.
The containers are currently expected to cost around twelve million euros.

The move
The school's move to the container village during the Christmas holidays - it was originally supposed to take place in the summer - went quite well, reported District Administrator Karmasin, although it became clear at the meeting that the school would have wanted some kind of move manager.
The school will not be expected to move again during the Christmas holidays, said a spokeswoman for the building administration.
The return to the then completely renovated high school should take place in the summer - whatever the year.
