On Friday morning
Berenice Gonzálvez, a 23-year-old girl
appeared unbalanced in Plaza San Martín, in the Entre Ríos city of Victoria.
They quickly admitted her to the local hospital, but they had to urgently transfer her to Paraná due to the severity of the condition.
A few hours later it was learned that she had signs consistent with rape.
She died early Saturday morning.
There are two people detained and they are investigating the possibility that there may be more involved.
The case generated immediate commotion, several raids and
a march
on Saturday morning calling for justice.
The young woman was the mother of a 4-year-old boy.
Berenice had been found around 6 a.m. on Friday in the Laprida School area.
In the first instance, she was transferred to the Fermín Salaberry Hospital in Victoria, where they tried to revive her.
She had signs of having been drugged with narcotics

Due to the severity, she was referred to the San Martín Hospital in Paraná.

Although a preliminary version indicated a possible suicide attempt, they discovered that it actually
showed signs consistent with rape.
Based on this new revelation, an investigation began by Prosecutor No. 2 headed by Iván Exequiel Yedro, who ordered the search of a home on 700 Italia Street, where a 46-year-old man, identified as Esteban, was detained. c.
In addition, the Police arrested a second person, a young woman named Zaira G., 25 years old, who had given false testimony at the beginning of the investigation:
her version contradicted that given by the victim's family.
According to the family's testimony, Zaira was a friend of Berenice.
Shortly after midnight on Friday, she called her to invite her to a party.
She didn't give him any more details, but they were together.
That was where the young woman was drugged.
As confirmed, Berenice was beaten.
She had marks on her back and a lot of fluid in her stomach.
The young woman was able to flee, she tried to enter a school and some neighbors who saw her alerted the police.
Upon finding her, she began to convulse.
They took her to the hospital.
They believe that
it was Zaira who tricked her into taking her,
that she would have functioned as a delivery girl.
In addition to the two detainees, the police are looking for six other people as confirmed by Crónica TV.
Finally, at 0:50 on Saturday Berenice had
“brain death, followed by cardiac arrest.”
Hours later, at 9, a march was held in Plaza San Martín, in Victoria, to demand justice.
Berenice worked as a waitress or did odd jobs, according to her mother.
"They killed her, they tortured her, I don't know how to live after this. She was beautiful and good. She talked to everyone, everyone loved her. She had friends everywhere," she said.
"She didn't deserve to die like that. They did so much to her that they destroyed her life until she lost it. My beautiful granddaughter, my beautiful angel now.
Murderers must pay
," said Sonia, Berenice's grandmother, on Facebook.
"Justice must give a strong punishment, not leaving prison again, they can do it again. For my granddaughter asking for justice and praying to God for my little princess and her little son who was left without his mother," he lamented.
