A Razor ATV rider, a 50-year-old man, drowned today (Saturday) after overturning into a puddle in an open area near Shafaram.
The MDA team that was called to the scene performed CPR on him and eventually pronounced him dead.
"When we arrived at the scene, they led us to the wadi near which the rider of the Razor was lying unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing," said MDA medic Shagi Magdov, who arrived at the scene of the drowning.
"We were told that during the ride, the Razor overturned into the wadi and the driver was trapped in the water. They pulled him out while he was unconscious. We immediately began performing resuscitation operations that included massages and CPRs, at the end of which we had to determine his death."

Earlier today, a 30-year-old ATV rider was seriously injured in a car accident in Tira.
The MDA team that was called to the scene treated him first and evacuated him to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. "When we arrived at the scene we saw the injured unconscious," said MDA medic Ashraf Araki, "We evacuated him in an intensive care vehicle to the hospital as he is suffering from a multi-system injury." .
